About GIS

GIS (Geographic Information System) is a set of tools to collect, store, retrieve, editing, and displaying spatial data from the real world for a particular purpose. Geographical data (spatial) featuring the real world that includes: a) position based coordinate system, b) attributes or completeness is not directly related to the position (such as color, price, location of the spread of disease), c) spatial relationship between to one another that explains how they are interconnected (usually called the topology and device description such as space and spatial coherence does not affect the distortion / error sustainable

GIS component are the input data (raster and vector data input), data management, manipulation and analysis of data, and output. Input data obtained by converting or changing the form of raw data (aerial photographs, satellite imagery, maps) to form the corresponding data for use in GIS environment. Data management includes data storage and exchange of data on the GIS environment. Manipulation and analysis is a GIS component that serves to create or process the data into useful information. For visualization or display the final results performed on GIS data output stage
